Action Requests

An action request asks a company Admin to approve an action in the Truss dashboard. Your app asks. The Admin decides.

Today there is one action: create_wallet. It asks the company to add a new wallet (bank account) in Truss. The wallet is created only after a company Admin approves the request.

How it works

  1. Create the request with POST /v1/action-requests/. This needs the action_requests:write scope.
  2. The response has a dashboard_review_url. Send a company Admin to this URL.
  3. The Admin signs in to Truss, reviews the request, and approves or rejects it.
  4. Truss sends the action_request.updated webhook with the result.
  5. To read the request at any time, call GET /v1/action-requests/{uid}/. This needs the action_requests:read scope.

Only a company Admin can approve or reject an action request.

What dashboard_review_url is for

It is the page in the Truss dashboard where a company Admin reviews this one request. Your app cannot approve the request through the API. Open the link in the user's browser, or show it as a button in your product.

Request and response fields are in the API Reference.
